- Of course the most common way to retrieve data is a database query. Here is what is involved:
- Dynamic language (PHP)

- This is not the same as MySQL because it is a standardized language. MySQL is one of many third-party database management system

- Download Newland Tours SQL file
- You can download the support files here
- Copy all files into the "htdocs" root. Keep your original "Connections" folder intact
- Open index_tmp.php and save it as index.php
- Delete the text under "Traveler's Journal" (make sure you delete the H3 tag and text but keep the logo intact).
- Go to the Bindings panel and click the "+" sign and choose "Recordset (Query)
- Fill out the interface panel like below:
This creates a selected query to the cnn_newland connection (to newland_tours DB) targeting the fields JournalID and Journal_entry in the table tbl_journal. Also choosing the values in a descending order - This then adds a connection code in the php:

A SQL statement:
SELECT journalID, journal_entry FROM tbl_journal ORDER BY journalID DESC";(notice SELECT, FROM, and ORDER are all caps...this is the SQL language) - Then drag the rs_journal from the bindings panel to the location in the page framework
This adds the following code:
