• The main file formats for this class are .mp4 (H264) and .mov (Quicktime).
• We will be using two platfoms:
  • Media Encoder - File=>Export=>Add to Adobe Media Render Que
  • Render que - Composition=>Add to Render Que
• For saving your After Effects projects:
  • Save the .ae file (After Effects file) in a project folder
  • After Effects is like Indesign and Illustrator...outside files are not embedded in the file. They are only referenced
  • Go to File=>Dependencies=>Collect Files
    • This will move all asset files including images, footage, audio, etc (not fonts) into a sub folder
      
      
    • Otherwise, you'll get this:
      
    • Zip the main folder
      • Mac - Control/Click the folder=>Compress "Foldername". A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location.
      • Windows - Right-click the folder, select Send to, and then select Compressed (zipped) folder. A new zipped folder with the same name is created in the same location.
