What is a browser?
- There are multiple browsers out there (in order of the statistics as of Dec 2018 by W3C):
- Chrome - 80.9% +1.3%
- Firefox - 9.3% -1%
- IE/Edge - 3.3% -.5%
- Safari - 2.7% -.7%
- Opera - 1.6%
- Mobile Vs. Desktop
- Mobile higher 63% to 37%
- It varys in different reports, but on the average Mobile wins
- Suggestion: Use only styles and features supported by all major browsers (which can be an issue with html 5 and CSS3).
- Html 5 works on most updated Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Opera browsers
- (Unless you are developing for only one browser and platform)
- Here is a link to see what tags work on what browers: caniuse.com

- To fix browser differences you can:
- Tweak the code until it fits nicely in all major platforms
- Use a conditional statement to target a certain browser:
@-moz-document url-prefix() {
.my-style{ }
}
- Are these the only browsers we should be concerned about?
*IE is now retired...replaced by Edge (sound familiar?)
