- Download and open the following Illustrator file
- Copy/paste the Tin Woodman graphic onto your file in it's own layer
- Drag the graphic over the right column and move the layer below the text layer and lock it
- Now go back to the text layer and draw a rectangle with no fill or stroke over the third column and go to Type>Text Wrap>Make
- Next choose the Blob brush at about 50 size (double click the tool) and paint over the text area that is over the arm. I chose a red fill so I could see what I'm doing.
- Now create another text wrap. You may want to go to Text Wrap Options and add to the offset to get more breathing room.
- Turn the fill off to get the final effect
- You can clean things up a bit by selecting all the text - double click in the text area and Cmd/Ctl A and then open the paragraph panel. Choose the upper right flyout menu and choose the hyphenation command. Choose these settings:
- Go back to the same fly-out menu and choose Adobe Every line composer
